WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL LOCATED?On the grounds of the Fairfax County Government Center 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax Virginia Park and ride the free shuttle to the festival. HOW MUCH IS AN ADMISSION TICKET?Adult tickets are $12 at the gate; Children 3 - 10 are $5; Children under three are free. Seniors (65+) and Active Military with ID are $10 at the gate. ARE CARNIVAL RIDES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF ADMISSION?
No, carnival ride tickets must be purchased separately. Carnival rides are NOT included in the price of admission. Carnival all-day ride handstamps are sold for $25 each on Saturday, June 12 until 5 pm, and on Sunday, June 13, until 4:30 pm, and they are good for unlimited rides in both the KidWay MidWay and main Carnival Area. Sorry, no handstamps will be sold on-site Friday, June 11. Individual carnival tickets are $1.00 each, and each ride requires between 2 and 5 tickets.
HOW DO I GET TO THE FESTIVAL? Getting to the festival is easier than you think. Celebrate Fairfax! is held at the Fairfax County Government Center located at 12000 Government Center Parkway. While there is limited parking at the Government Center complex (12011 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035), those lots fill up quickly each day. Parking levels under the Government Center are by permit only. Permits are valid only on Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13.
Celebrate Fairfax! makes it easy to access the festival via our FREE Shuttle Bus service. The Celebrate Fairfax! shuttle bus service will take you round trip from nearby remote parking facilities - Fair Lakes Circle and Fair Oaks Mall - to the front door of the festival at NO CHARGE. The FREE shuttle runs every 5-10 minutes. Follow signs to the bus stops!

Vienna Metro Station - Bay H Public Transportation is also a great option – you can ride the Fairfax Connector or Metro. The Fairfax Connector will run a FREE shuttle from the Vienna Metro (orange line) every 1/2 hour to the festival door. IS HANDICAPPED PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE FESTIVAL?Yes, Celebrate Fairfax! is accessible for persons with disabilities. On-site parking at the Fairfax County Government Center is available for persons with valid handicapped permits. Regular-sized vehicles with valid handicapped hangtag or license plate must enter through the Green Gate. Oversized vehicles with valid handicapped hangtag or license plate must enter through the Yellow Gate. Two golf carts are available to transport handicapped visitors to Festival program areas. Ask the Gate Chairman for assistance.
IS ABSENTEE VOTING STILL AVAILABLE AT THE GOVERNMENT CENTER?The Fairfax County Government Center will be open for absentee voting until 6:00pm on Friday and until 5:00pm on Saturday and parking spaces for eligible absentee voters will be labeled in Lot C (located on the north side closest to the Government Center). For more information or details about absentee voting visit Fairfax County Absentee Voting. CAN I RENT A BABY STROLLER OR WHEELCHAIR AT CELEBRATE FAIRFAX!? A limited number of wheelchairs are available for FREE on a first-come, first-served basis in the festival office. In order to reserve a wheelchair, a government-issued photo identification card must be left with festival office staff and will be given back once the wheelchair has been returned. We do not offer baby stroller rentals. For onsite assistance, visit any of our information booths or speak to a gate supervisor. WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THE FESTIVAL?To ensure a safe and enjoyable festival experience for everyone, the following are not permitted at the festival: * Coolers, pitchers or glass containers * Soliciting * Removing alcoholic beverages from the site * Laser pointers * Lawn or beach chairs * Pets, except for service animals for patrons with disabilities * Boom boxes and audio recording devices * Scooters, roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, or in-line skates * Professional still or video cameras * Climbing on any scaffolding towers or stages * Smoking at any tented areas or indoor venues * Defacing property within the festival site (this may result in prosecution) * Bringing in outside alcoholic beverages Bags, backpacks and other hand-carried items are subject to inspection. Blankets are welcome. Umbrellas may be brought in, but you may be asked to lower them in concert areas to allow all guests access to stage viewing. Please note that shirts and shoes must be worn while on the festival grounds!
WHAT TIME ARE THE FIREWORKS?
The SAIC Fireworks are at 9:15pm on both Friday and Saturday night.
WHAT ARE THE HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS FOR RIDES?
Height restrictions differ from ride to ride based on the standard safety regulations for each ride. There are kiddie rides in the KidWay MidWay area and thriller rides in the main Carnival area. Each ride requires tickets - tickets cost $1 each and rides can require, on average, 2-5 tickets per ride. Or you may purchase a carnival handstamp on-site Saturday or Sunday for $25. Anyone that wants to ride a ride must have either tickets or a handstamp. Handstamps are valid for rides in both the KidWay MidWay and main Carnival area.
